Sometimes you get an error on the Windows Update site that prevents us from proceeding with the scan and install updates.
If the error number 0x80244010 could be caused by problems with the parser XML (files corrupt or missing).
first try Start>> Run and enter these strings
by pressing OK after each
regsvr32 MSXML.DLL
MSXML2.DLL
regsvr32 msxml3.dll regsvr32
Please try the update on Windows Update and if the problem is still present in XP SP2 unless you try to download and install MSXML 3.0 Service Pack 4. After reboot. Or even try to install the Microsoft ®. NET Framework 1.1.
If you do not help then contact Microsoft: it is likely there is a problem with the serial number used for the update.
